This is a real turtle shell rattle. The openings are sealed with leather. The stones inside are hand picked from the beach in Provincetown Ma.   The shell is painted the color of the blue sky and the waters.  The stick is from a Maple tree in Ohio. White  horse tail and leathers and black leather fringe  are attached to this rattle .  The center of the rattle has a circle of beading.  This is a signed piece.
